A review on Fragile Warning Lights : Anna Katharina Scheidegger, Laureate 2025

A look back at a week full of experiences at the @approcheparis fair, an essential event dedicated to experimental photographic practices, bringing together artists and galleries.

We were delighted to present the results of the PICTO LAB / Expérimenter l’image residency during this edition.

Thank you to @Nielsen for producing all the exhibition frames, and to @rentingart for welcoming our 2025 laureate @scheideggerannakatharina into the Co42 space in their workshop to develop her project FRAGILE WARNING LIGHTS.

This work explores the fragility of marine phytoplankton, the “lungs of the planet,” whose populations have been declining since the 1950s.

After 3 months in residence at the @pictofr laboratory, Anna Katharina was able to experiment with capturing bioluminescent plankton on sheet film and reveal the beauty of these micro-organisms.
